Head Teacher transfer to another Circle/ District.

Friend,
I do not know about Head Teacher ( Primary School )transfer rule not Head Teacher Promotion. Has any G.O. about it? Can a Pry. Head Teacher get transfer to another Circle or another District? If Yes, Please post the relevant order as early as possible or clarify as you know.I am confused particular this matter because I have not yet found any order or any clarification from Edn. Department.

Hello friend,
There is no separate G.O. for head teacher transfer rule; there is only one rule i.e. West Bengal Primary Education (Transfer of Teachers including Head Teacher) Rules, 2002; which is equally applicable to head teachers. As per Rule 8 of the said G.O. Inter Council transfer is possible in accordance with the provisions as laid down in section 19(k) of West Bengal Primary Education Act which may be downloaded from here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=38
