Either May day or Closing Ceremony of Kabiguru..

Postby Asit Baran Pal » 02 May 2012, 16:00

Dear Friends,
Govt. of W.B. School Education department has decided to observe the closing Ceremony of Kabiguru. The period has been fixed as 1st to 7th may,2012.

All ready we have received a circular to observe the same of all Primary, secondary schools all over the state of W.B.vide No. 770/SE/S/10M-108/12 dated. 23.04.2012.

But we all know very well 1st may is a holiday as May day. Every years we observe the day from different corners. That is why some of our schools have confused. They were unable to decide to give priority either observance of May day or 1st day of Kabiguru’s closing Ceremony of 150th Birth Anniversary.

As a result , some of our school was closed some of opened. This is not acceptable.
What is your opinion my forum friends?? All the best.

Dear friend. Its really a matter to be confused. From my point of view, 1st may should be observed as May day as the same is a public holiday falls under section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act. 1981 and also declared by the Govt of West Bengal. I am uploading the latest notification here for ready reference.

It would be better to exclude the May Day from the declared period i.e. 1st May - 7th May.

Friends,
We know very well the rules but public of the school area do not know the rules, even they do not agree to see the rule. Some of our public comments their own language. We are help less there because we are teachers. We have a lots of responsibility not others. With regards.
