FUTURE OF UNTRAINED SECONDARY TEACHERS

Postby mondal » 19 Jun 2012, 18:06

As per, RTE-2009 all the untrained in-service teachers will have to acquire B.Ed training within 31.03.2015.

As per NCTE norms, no inservice is permitted to do B.Ed degree through OLD Mode unless his teching experience is two years in a govt. or govt. aided school.

As per latest Higher Edn department G.O. deputed teacheres are not entitled to acquire B.Ed in regular mode, rather they have to acquire it through OLD Mode.

Now my question is how is it possible for the untrained candidates who will qualify 12th RLST, to acquire the B.Ed qualification by 31.03.2015?
Your valuable opinions are solicited. Thank you.

@ mondal
It is not OLD mode it is ODL (Open Distance Learning) mode.
Higher Education Department has already withdrawn the restriction on regular mode through G.O. No. 643(14)-Edn(U) dated 28.06.2012. Follow the link to download it.

The Govt has already taken up the matte to NCTE for sanctioning additional seats in B. Ed. Let us hope for the best.
But one thing i would like to add here for all the untrained deputed teachers (17000 in number) this should become an issue for the Govt. otherwise....... you know -)

In reply of Supratim Babu ,according to ROPA- 2009, an untrained teacher should developed his B.Ed degree within 5 years from his date of joining. Hence, he allowed his increment upto 01/07/2012.
Thank you.
