Why should Doctor suffer everywhere?

In rural area no infrastructure,emergency medicine,transport facility, accommodation and many others are not available for a doctor after passing M.B.B.S. to serve community. Govt are not seeing this black side but they are talking of doctors responsibility, humanity. Being a doctor i can feel the problem like other doctor, what is your view? same as govt or as me. plz reply if u feel.

To provide the infrastructure for studying MBBS, Govt. spend a lot of money. After completion of MBBS, it is believed that you serve the Govt. in return. But in practice it is observed that very few among them have that morals. So, being a Govt. Engineer I am in support of the Govt. decision.

It is true that govt spend a lot of money to make a student a doctor and the govt has full moral right to send them at any place but why should we overlook the infrastructural facility. The villages are second India ... think over the present load-shading. It is almost 6 hrs in total but no one and no media talk about it but if it would have been happen in a city like kolkata what a sound would have happen! Sorry if I am off topic. But why should not govt look at the infrastructure so that doctor themselves be interested to go to the rural area. If I'm not wrong it's the govt/society that make the medical student a bit money hunter. Our society send the student to medical collage so that they earn more and more money and our govt never try to make student aware how much money have been spent from the pocket of the tax payers including those of the rural area.
And why should not the govt make an agreement that every doctor has to spend a specific period according to govt choice and it will be implemented in thee stage e.g. just after passing MBBS/MD after 10 years and after 15 years. Because why should the rural patient be deprived of experienced doctors... and govt will take all the responsibility of the students and will guarantee proper infrastructure for treatment and for dwelling. And one may opt for or may not opt for the course with these condition. I don't think there will be any problem of having meritorious students with these conditions.
The basic problem lies in our mentality ... we assume some work to be superior to some other work and so some people deserve better living (the govt. policy is the same) though we claim to live in a social republic. The patients may live but the doctor cannot with out proper infrastructure... though many of the doctors come from village...
Please excuse me for my gibberish and please note that I believe there are positive exceptions too And kindly also note I don't intend to hurt anybody my opinion is only for further discussion and yet if anybody is hurt please excuse me

There are so many School teachers posted in the rural area and some Engineers too.
They don't fight for their posting in the towns or cities like the doctors do.
If each and every Doctor get posted in towns, who will save the villagers?
Why Doctors consider their such kind of posting as penalty? Cant they consider it as their service to the nation like the teachers or Engineers or many other Govt. and Non. Govt. employees do?
I think the tenure of posting in rural and non-rural area of Doctors should be maintained through some Roster.

friend you are saying true but sorry to say that when i used to study my course my intention was also to serve rural area especially my own village of course. But the real true is that there is practically no facility that one doctor can stay,can work,so bad is the infrastructure.the B.M.O.H. used to treat the new doctor as slave every where, the fact only doctors know as they faced the poblem. we are doctor not one political leader's slave.though there is duty roster but actualyy it come to be 24 hours a day , 7 days in a week and so on.

@ drgs: yes you are right! But then should we not feel the pain of the villagers too? I agree that infrastructure must developed to a minimum level. And your Point is justified that doctors should not be treated as slave... But I know quite a few doctors who manage time for private practice (after 24X7 duty?). However can you remember how much enthusiasm was there in your locality when cracked joint? And is it the infrastructure you are unhappy with or do you want? Then why should your voice not be raised against the infrastructure instead of posting. And were you not aware about the condition(infrastructure) when you dreamed to serve your village? Do you think to serve is so easy? It's not your fault. It is the govt according to me that spoil the dreams of youth. The medical collegges have all the facility (just opposite to the condition of the health centres at villages and semi-townn). The student are taken away from the reality and then thrown away into the hard reality. Friend I'm not accusing you nor I opposing your logic for a jugglery of wit. But for the sake of discussion for a better future where doctors and patients both will be happy. you said,

. Is the B.M.O.H a political leader? I don't get this point. However there is hardly any field where an individual gets what he deserves or is not compelled to cater to (unlawful) wishes of either higher authority or political leaders. Otherwise we might not have find this forum for discussion...

Who says Doctors suffer every where? Leave the qualified and big doctors aside and think of the talented freshers doctors who get the job of House staff in any reputed Pvt.hospital or nursing home @Rs.120 per hour of duty. In ICU the rate shoots up to Rs.150/- per hour in Kolkata. Others who are mediocre in talents get another organisations at a little less money. Their work is confined to BP test or simple medical exercises like signing Death Certificate, managing Bead Head Tickets etc. with the liberty to sign every paper where required as per WB Clinical Establishment Act or Rules.Doctors were earlier the privilege community but now they are not considered to be next to God. Do you know why? Every doctor....rather almost every doctor if he refers the case to private labs gets referral money of at least 40% in MRI, CT Scan,Pathological tests etc.paid by a poor patient. If the said case is admitted in any pvt. nursing home on his referral then the said organisation pays him commission on beds day wise,urine and stool test also. If the patient party purchases medicines from the hospital pharmacy or near by other pharmacy, the shop owners sends a certain amount say 5%-10% (varying from doctor to doctor) to the doctor through which the medicines were prescribed and sold.The medicine companies who insist the doctor through their medical rep. to promote a medicine by prescribing it to almost every patient like digestive or vitamins etc. in addition to the other drugs bear the cost of travelling to foreign countries in the name of seminars. Those who do not go out of country are gifted with the fridge, AC,LCD TVs lap tops etc.and other costly professional gadgets for prescribing their company's medicines. So, if some doctor laments then it must be understood that he does not have the quality of amiable nature and soberity and so he suffers. Even there is jangal mey mangal in the rural areas everywhere. Government does very little now a days and we can not expect more than what we get. The thing is that what we give to the Government in addition to the taxes deducted from the salaries of the employees? More over, there is no scope for employees also because what one minister spends on his own self in a year is equal to 2/3rd of the annual salary of his department,s employees. Moral: There is only one Golden rule every where and that is those who do not have fathers in Government would have to suffer. Those who have political fathers connected with Swasthya Bhavan do not suffer.

Yes. that is true.for a few doctors like this, whole doctor community is being blamed.

Here is a good news. The state Govt. is about to introduce "encouragement allowance" to the doctors for their posting in rural area.
