it's sad that nobody has cared to post a reply to such a pertinent question which is becoming more and more relevant because of the process of mutual transfers going on :o

Mutual transfer of school teachers is a very recent development and the mutual transfer rules, 2012 is silent about this topic. Therefore, I believe nobody has clear idea about this procedure. Hence, no answer to this question till now. However teachers who had worked more than one year in any school and then got another job in a new school trough SSC with continuity of their earlier service may shed some light on this topic. Anyone of the above description here in this forum?

PF transfer

Yes. I am agree with you Kayshikr.
After viewing this post, I tried to acquire some instructions over the matter to help our members. I had some talk with some experienced teachers and one Treasury Officer. It is surprising to know that every one provided some different ideas.

Anyway, I think the following procedure would be maintained on P.F. Transfer.

1. The school will close the P.F. Account and submit a cheque to the teacher.
2. After joining his/her new assignment the teacher will deposit the amount in the P.F. Account of the school through Treasury Challan(T.R.-7).
3. Thereafter the teacher will file an application to the H.M. along with a copy of the T.R. Challan for opening a new account and crediting the deposited amount into his/her account.

Continuing with Som's post above: this means a new PF account has to be opened in new school with the proof of deposit. But then ,how the amount will be deposited through treasury challan when the new account does not exist? My question may seem novice as I am not particularly aware of treasury operations. So, kindly clarify.

Actually the amount will be deposited in the School Account for which the individual Account Number is not necessary. Though I am not sure about the procedure. I shall try to confirm it at the earliest.

I think, at first the P.F.Ledger (FORM-VIII)will be countersigned by the concerned A.I., and this signed P.F.Ledger should be submitted to the new school for continuation.
